Adoption Process

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Temporary Home Pet Rescue! Here’s what you can expect from our adoption process:

Step 1: Complete an Adoption Application

Once you’ve found an animal you’re interested in (or even if you’re just curious!), start by filling out our Adoption Application. This is not a binding contract—just a way for us to know you’re interested. It’s a simple first step, and we’ll review your application and reach out to you soon.

Step 2: Meet & Greet

We’ll contact you to discuss the pet you’re interested in and help determine if it’s a good fit for your family. If it seems like a match, we’ll arrange a Meet & Greet. This may take place at an adoption event, a neutral location, or even at your home—wherever is most convenient!

Step 3: Adoption Contract & Payment

If you decide to move forward with the adoption, we’ll ask for the adoption fee. This fee covers essential care such as spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and deworming.

Step 4: Congratulations!

You’re ready to bring your new family member home! We’ll send you the pet’s health records via email once the adoption is processed (this may take up to a week).
